JOB OVERVIEW
- Operates a high-lift platform truck, and performs a variety of routine clerical/manual tasks while filling customer orders from stock shelved in tiers up to 25 feet, in a specific section of the order filling area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drives an electric powered truck equipped with a elevating platform.
- Performs truck safety checks and changes batteries.
- Utilizes WM and Nextview program at various computer kiosks, receives order picking assignments, records production, and looks up various related information.
- Performs essentially same duties as pickers operating at the ground level—may fill floor orders when air volume is low.
- May complete documentation required for various destinations and sorts accordingly.

- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of WM software.
- Certificates and Licenses: Must attend and pass Bluestem’s Lift Truck training program and become certified on each truck specific to the position. Requires Vision and Hearing testing.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no primary supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and will be required to change batteries safely utilizing PPE.
