Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Learning Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, and possess experience working with at-risk students. This role involves supporting students to achieve academic and behavioral success, utilizing data to tailor instructional strategies, and collaborating effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist students in achieving academic success through targeted support and interventions.

Utilize data to identify student needs and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional strategies.

Work and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive educational environment.

Understand and address the developmental needs of high school students.

Apply knowledge of trauma-informed practices to support students.

Employ relevant technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.

Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to school policies.

Sign and adhere to confidentiality and technology agreements.

Perform all duties required by the job position with responsibility and integrity.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred.

Experience in teaching or working within a school setting, particularly with at-risk students, is preferred.

Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Self-motivated, dependable, responsible, flexible, and resourceful.

Proficiency in using educational technology tools and platforms.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following ethical guidelines.
Additional Requirements:

Must sign a confidentiality agreement.

Must sign a technology agreement.

Must be able to perform all duties associated with the job position.
