Essential Duties:
· Develop new and grow existing customer & carrier relationships (lead generation, cold calling, and referrals).
· Build strong working relationships with customers and carriers in assigned regions
· Negotiate with customers & carriers for the appropriate purchase rate to meet revenue and profit margin goals, as well as to facilitate an appropriate business relationship with the carrier.
· Manage all freight in transit by obtaining adequate updates from carriers/drivers to monitor movement and ensure on-time delivery.
· Maintain constant contact with customers & carriers to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements.
· Proactively communicating service failures to internal support teams to minimize service failures, promote on-time service and ensure safety.
· Maintains ongoing relationships and monitors activities with customers and prospects
· Aiding the Director of Logistics with research for new or existing business development
· Responsible for posting any available freight not in the system to the necessary load boards
· Call customers when necessary to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to

Pay: $65,000.00 - $82,600.00 per year
