Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education-Health Teacher to join our team. As the Physical Education-Health Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing physical education -health programs for our Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School communities that promote fitness, health, and overall well-being.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that align with curriculum standards across content areas
- Teach students various sports, exercises, and activities to improve physical fitness
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play among students
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Develop individualized plans for students with special needs or disabilities
- Incorporate educational games and activities to make learning fun and interactive
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate physical education into the overall school curriculum
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of physical fitness principles, childhood development, and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
Preferred: - Teaching certification or licensure in Physical Education -Montessori experience
