Key Responsibilities
- Installing low voltage category cabling, communication equipment, and various low voltage systems, including Category 5, 6 cables, and Fiber Optic cables.
- Providing progress updates and adhering to procedures, including compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Completing necessary documentation in both written and electronic formats, such as time reporting, work order progress, and client SLAs.
- Transporting tools, equipment, and supplies to client sites.
- Attending meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on industry developments.
- Offering hand tools for data telecommunications tasks.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and occasionally up to approximately 100 pounds.
- Adaptable to varying work environments, from very cold to very hot, both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work from elevated surfaces like ladders.
- Visual acuity and color vision for identifying colors and adjusting focus.
- Speaking/hearing skills for effective communication.
- Motor coordination for sitting, handling objects, and occasional standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree, Certification in a technology service/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Recommended Minimum of 2+ years of experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure systems, including Category 5, Category 6, and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.
- Proven ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables.
- Preferred industry and manufacturer-specific experience and/or certifications (e.g., BICSI, Panduit, Commscope, Siemens, Corning, Leviton, Ortronics, AV, Fiber Optic, Paging).
- Familiarity with industry standards, including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code.
- Ability to comprehend industry terminology and operate test equipment.
- Strong customer/client service orientation with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to drive to worksites.

hours beyond the traditional 8-hour shift.
