Position Overview:
The Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County is seeking an experienced and passionate Front Desk Manager to lead and oversee our member services department. This full-time position requires a dynamic leader dedicated to creating a positive and welcoming environment for Club members and their families. The Director will be responsible for managing the implementation of programs, services, and activities that foster the academic, social, and emotional development of youth in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to the member services team, ensuring high standards of customer service and engagement.
- Member Engagement: Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all club members and their families, promoting active participation and retention.
- Staff Supervision: Assist in recruiting and training and supervise the member services staff, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records, including registration, attendance, and program participation data.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all front desk activities comply with safety regulations and club policies, maintaining a secure environment for members and staff.
- Community Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and other organizations to enhance the club's programs and services.
- Communication: Serve as the initial point of contact for parents and guardians, providing regular updates on club activities.
- Financial Oversight:Manage the member services department's budget, ensuring financial resources are used effectively.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the club's strategic planning efforts, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in member services.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development, program management, or office management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to interact effectively with co-workers, youth, and community members at all levels.
- Mission-Driven: Deep commitment to the mission and values of the Boys and Girls Club and demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and promoting an inclusive environment.
- Safety and Compliance: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer software such as Google Suite and CRMs.
- CPR and First Aid Certification: Certification or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; willingness to drive club vehicles as needed.
