Responsibilities:
As An Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for developing Planning and Forecasting capability. You will be responsible for setting inventory placement goals that align with business objectives. The role needs to advocate, remove barriers and build connections for the team with all stakeholders in the value chain. They will also be responsible for working closely with respective stakeholders to develop and execute strategies. The Analyst will support financial analysis, be a liaison to operations support, and focus on driving improvements to supply chain performance. The analyst will provide sales forecasts for new and promotional items in order to optimize inventory levels.
- Responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts for all SKU’s based on historical data, market trends, and input from Channel/Sales.
- Continuously refine forecasting models to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to changes in demand. Utilize statistical forecasting and continuous improvement of demand planning tools.
- Analyze and adjust for seasonality that differs across various outdoor product categories.
- Analyze monthly forecast accuracy results and apply root cause analysis to ensure the future forecast is updated as required.
- Understand how pricing and promotions impact sales and collaborate with channel team to apply and document assumptions.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and brand teams related to forecasting new product launches and potential cannibalization of existing products.
- Prepare all key data updates for the monthly demand review meeting.
- Assist with developing annual budget forecast assumptions by SKU by month.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a culture of entrepreneurship
- High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in vendor shipping; Execute inventory positioning recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/4 Year Degree.
- 4+ years relevant work experience.
- Experience working in a Retail and Manufacturing Organization preferred
- 4+ years of business experience in transactional processes & analytics, logistics/ supply chain management, procurement, in stock, logistics, inventory management.
- Expertise in Inventory management principals and systems.
- Experience in supply chain planning: allocation, replenishment, operations.
- Translating data from an array of sources into insights and go-forward recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with others.
- Strong Excel, SQL and Database skills.
- This person needs to be adept at manipulating large datasets to derive actionable intelligence.
- Prior experience with Inventory Management and Replenishment Systems
- Candidates must be willing to embrace working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and hands-on environment.
- Must have extensive experience and fluency in Excel tools and functionality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $62,275.00 per year
