**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, perform administrative tasks, and ensure excellent patient care. Competitive pay based on experience. We offer matching 401K, health insurance and PTO.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare
- Take dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments
- Perform office management tasks as needed
**Experience:**
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and protocols
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods
- Familiarity with dental software systems for patient management
- Understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques
- Basic anatomy knowledge related to oral health
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy protection
- Experience in dental receptionist duties is a plus
- Knowledge of medical coding, documentation, or imaging is a must
