Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Attorney to join our legal team. This position will be responsible for, among other duties: Ensuring all administrative and compliance goals with firm clients are met, providing guidance and advice to a staff of paralegals and legal assistants involved in prosecuting or defending lawsuits, preparation of pleadings, correspondence to courts and clients, post judgment collection actions; including garnishments and other legal remedies.
Duties:
- Direct, lead, and motivate ligation staff by providing expertise, guidance, and training with the goal of increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Performs audit of work completed within the department to identify training issues.
- Quickly and competently review file notes and determine file status and future required action.
- Develop strategic plans and initiatives for continued growth and profitability.
-Analyze procedures and software effectiveness to ensure the most effective utilization of available tools, and present new opportunities as applicable.
-Monitor ligation staffs' portfolios and distribute as necessary to ensure productivity and profitability.
-Sign pleadings as required.
-Legal research and writing as assigned by partners and senior associate attorneys.
-Maintain confidentiality of clients, firm information, cases, staff and contacts.
-Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills:
-Knowledge of the laws and rules governing state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, administrative law, arbitration, and legal terminology.
-Knowledge of trial and hearing procedures.
-Knowledge of investigative and interviewing techniques.
-Ability to analyze legal issues and identify relevant case opinions and facts.
-Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis.
-Ability to interpret laws, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
-Law degree and law license.
-Valid Driver's License.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
