ABOUT WONDER STUDIO at Apogee Sacramento:
WONDER STUDIO is a play-based, educationally enriching co-op for pre-k aged children, engaging the head, heart, and hands, while fostering healthy relationships and the joy of learning.
APOGEE SACRAMENTO is a non-profit Christ-centered academy equipping young leaders with confidence, character, and competence to engage their callings and joyfully impact the world.
Wonder Studio is inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches.
Key Elements of our WONDER STUDIO program:
Play Based
Children learn best through play. By nurturing children's natural wonder, curiosity, and interests, we inspire a love for learning.
Multi Sensory
Joyful exploration and discovery is the work of our children. We facilitate multi-sensory, experiential learning that connects their hands, head and heart.
Whole Child
Social, emotional and spiritual development as well as practical life skills are woven into our daily rhythms, nurturing the mind, body, soul and spirit of our children.
Family Integrated
We strengthen our program and your home by involving family in the flow of learning. Continuity creates momentum and fosters consistent exchange of great ideas.
Daily Rhythms:
Connection / Circle Time
We come together to connect, share, and celebrate. We foster a sense of belonging and community as we nurture social, emotional and spiritual development.
Multi-Sensory Learning Stations
We curate an engaging, multi-sensory environment that fosters both open-ended exploration and guided, educationally enriching experiences.
Snack & Story Time
We encourage healthy snacks from home while listening to a teacher or parent read engaging and educational stories that stimulate their imagination and language skills.
Self-Directed & Creative Play
We provide various activities such as building imaginative structures with blocks, creating artwork with an array of craft supplies, and engaging in role-playing scenarios that foster social and cognitive development.

ABOUT APOGEE SACRAMENTO
Apogee Sacramento is a non-profit Christ-centered academy equipping young leaders with confidence, character, and competence to engage their callings and joyfully impact the world.
Currently enrolling K-5th for the Fall 2024 - 2025 program year (will grow to serve K-12 in the future).
At Apogee Sacramento, our children learn in mixed-aged classrooms called studios with a flexible learning design that serves each child with their own differentiated learning plan as opposed to standardized, separated grade-levels. Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia, and incorporating strengths from other educational approaches as well, our learning environment facilitates independent, focused and self-paced work as well as collaborative, exploratory learning. In place of letter grades, our learners will earn badges as they demonstrate mastery of core academic skills, character development, and other accomplishments. Throughout the year, our real-world project based learning will culminate in public exhibitions of learning as opposed to test scores and report cards.
In studios serving younger learners, there will be a focus on helping them build their basic literacy, math and other skills necessary to become an independent learner. We currently serve learners ages 5-11 years old with plans to expand to serve learners through age 18.
In all areas of Apogee life, our learners are empowered to take ownership of their education and growth. Our team works collaboratively to guide learners through a whole-child approach. We believe that to truly prepare our children to thrive in life, alongside academic excellence, their education must integrate social & emotional intelligence, character & leadership development, spiritual formation, real-world skills, physical health & nutrition, and guidance toward their unique purpose and contribution to the world.
