Alarmtechs, a Texas-Based Low Voltage Construction and Service Company with over 30 Years in the Industry is currently seeking a Qualified, Licensed Fire Alarm and Low Voltage Technician (Access Control, CCTV, A/V, etc.) / Project Manager to help run new multi-family construction projects in the Dallas area and re-establish our presence in the Dallas area-multi-family market.
Alarmtechs is based in Houston, TX with full time techs in Austin and at one time Dallas. Our Dallas area was forced to shut down in 2021 due to inability to hire in the area. We are looking to re-establish in the area so that we can take on jobs that we have been forced to pass on over the last few years.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help run, manage and work on new low voltage construction jobs from planning stage to completion.
- Installation and maintenance of low voltage equipment on new and existing properties.
- Perform warranty and maintenance service calls as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment for all projects.
- Will be leading the work of others, including subs, to complete projects.
- Maintain good relationship with Project Managers and Property Managers.
- Liaison with vendors, subs and main office in scheduling and ordering material and labor in order to complete projects.
- Help train and manage new employees as the Dallas division grows.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ Years of experience in the Low Voltage field, either Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm and/or High-end A/V.
- Applicants applying as Fire ALarm Technicians should have, at the minimum, a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) or NICET Lvl 1 or equivalent certification (or higher).
- Be familiar with and able to work on some of the more common low voltage brand products. Examples of products we work with: Honeywell, EST, Hochiki, Silent Knight, Linear, Door King, Kantech, Butterfly, Salto, Schlage, Open Path, Lenel, HIK, Avigilon, Digital Watchdog, Crestron, Control4, etc.
- Be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Be willing to take direction and complete necessary documentation for all jobs or company related requirements.
- Be able to work alone if necessary in order to finish projects as needed.
- Be able to work with other employee's and subs to maintain a good working relationship in order to efficiently schedule needed work.
- Be able to establish a good relationship with new and existing customers and maintain good communication.
- Be proficient in hand tools as well as all other trade specific tools and equipment.
- Be organized, reliable and self-motivated.
