Dr. Hill will be joining our team in July bringing extensive experience and expertise in oral surgery, along with a commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are currently seeking qualified professionals to work alongside him.
Hours: approx. 30-34 hours per week Monday-Friday
Required: CPR certified
Preferred:
ACLS Certification
X-ray certification preferred
Dental Anesthesia Assistant Certification Preferred (DAANCE)
Key Tasks:
1. Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, including dental implants, extractions, and other oral surgeries.
2. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by correctly passing instrumentation, suctioning and retracting at appropriate times.
3. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgeries and procedures.
4. Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.
5. Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
6. Clean and disinfect all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each procedure.
7. Recognize signs of a dental emergency, and ensure proper and timely response and notification to patient, staff, and emergency medical personnel when necessary.
8. Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice's health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions.
9. Always ensure the care and welfare of patients in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner
10. Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed
11. Effectively present to patient the dental treatment plan and proposed plan for continuing treatments in professional and confidential manner.
12. Observe patient confidentiality at all times.
13. Perform chaperoning duties for dentists when treating patients.
14. Be familiar and comply with all Health and Safety rules and guidance, including OSHA infection control, and ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste, wearing personal protective (PPE) barriers such as gloves, scrubs, and eye wear.
15. Take radiographs and 3D cone beam scans
