Vice President of Manufacturing
Hazelett Corporation is seeking for a self-motivated individual to join our Executive team as Vice President of Manufacturing. Our preferred candidate will direct and coordinate all manufacturing activities, including Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, and Environmental Health and Safety. Key Responsibilities
· Formulates production plans and schedules by identifying and considering customer needs; human; financial and capital resources; safety factors; quality management system goals and objectives; and Lean Manufacturing principles.
· Ensures the manufacturing department is operating with technologically advanced equipment with modern manufacturing tactics.
· Directs and leads the company's manufacturing activities, ensuring production that meets customer and quality standards while maintaining efficiency, meeting time and financial requirements, and analyzing production performance.
· Participates in the development and management of company policies and long-term goals and objectives, including, though not limited to, the direction and focus of appropriate departments, the monitoring of progress, and the analysis of outcomes.
· Identifies, communicates, and leads the analysis, the consideration, and the implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
· Proactively communicates with Research & Development to coordinate the logistics of the production of new products.
· Provides leadership to functional managers, team leaders, and additional manufacturing personnel by maintaining a focus on hiring, communication, training, development, improved interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, and team and group dynamics.
· Oversees manufacturing’s Environmental Health and Safety Team, ensuring compliance with company objectives, goals, standards, and policies, OSHA standards, and safe working environments.
· Oversees Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring the overall support of the manufacturing environment, including projects improving safety, quality, cost initiatives and process improvements. Provides assistance with new equipment introductions in manufacturing such as tooling, and maintenance projects as required. Ensures the creation and implementation of strategies that reduce labor costs and decrease scrap material, while ensuring the consistent production of a quality product.

· A demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff and achieve targeted objectives.
· The ability to substantively and quantitively analyze and resolve problems at both strategic and functional levels.
· The ability to plan and prepare for a period ranging from 12 to 24 months.
· The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
· Relevant technical skills and experience.
· Strong customer orientation.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
· The ability to work in a collaborative environment, as well as independently.
· The ability to negotiate and gain commitment at all levels within Hazelett.
· Strong professional ethics, practical and logical judgment, and decisiveness while action driven.
· Demonstrated self-motivation.
· An understanding of and experience with strategic planning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a high-level manufacturing management role.
