AmesburyTruth is looking for a Distribution Project Manager to join our team in the Dallas area! In this role you will oversee and coordinate multiple strategic initiatives within our distribution network and eventually lead distribution operations for DFW area. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management skills, strong leadership abilities, and extensive knowledge and experience in distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the new site opening in Georgia, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Manage the transition to SAP, coordinating with IT, operations, and training teams to ensure seamless implementation and minimal disruption.
- Oversee the execution of additional projects within our distribution centers, ensuring smooth integration into existing operations.
Operational Management:
- Directly manage the implementation of various projects, integrating them into the company’s operations and optimizing their performance.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and ongoing projects.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with each project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Resource Optimization:
- Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage expertise and resources.
Communication and Reporting:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and status reports.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, including site openings, system implementations, and operational transitions.
- Experience in managing distribution centers is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
