JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The graphic designer is responsible for creating publications and apparel design consistent with the CHA branding guide. Designs should ensure that CHA’s mission, vision, and philosophy are clearly seen and understood. This position is also responsible for assisting in brand management. This position must agree with and support the Faculty/Board Member's Covenant and agree with/help fulfill CHA's Mission Statement.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities and Tasks)

Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within CHA's brand identity

Develop original creative work from general descriptions and with minimal supervision

Create visually appealing designs for a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, posters, signage, and apparel to promote our school, services, and special events
Maintain brand consistency by adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring that all designs reflect the school’s brand identity, values, and messaging and that all aspects are consistent with CHA’s Corporate Brand Standards
Design print, online, and apparel consistent with CHA’s branding guidelines.
Work with area leaders on design requests.
Obtain approval for all designs with the area leader who made the request and the Director of Advancement.
Meet all publicity request deadlines or communicate delays in a timely manner when needed.
Work with the Director of Technology on posting social media when needed.
Work with the Administrative Assistant of Advancement as necessary.

Assist the School Store Coordinator in designing apparel.

Professional design experience helpful
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills required
Ability to perform job duties at the office in Del City
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional school environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position for up to 20 hours/week during the school year and 100 hours during the summer, with days off according to leave and the school calendar from August to May.
Performance Standards
Tasks are to be completed well and in a timely manner (before or at the due date) while representing Christian Heritage Academy in a way that glorifies Christ.
Travel
Minimal Travel is required for training and conferences.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The school is currently a multi-level facility, which requires this position to navigate flights of stairs regularly to meet responsibilities as it relates to the school.
Talking - must be able to express ideas and speak clearly and orally in person or over the phone to parents, students, and/or other employees.
Hearing the ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Close visual acuity is required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and reading.
Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time, moving about on foot for lecturing and monitoring students in the classroom, as well as throughout the building.
Regularly sitting at the computer requiring dexterity of hands and fingers.
Occasional lifting of at least 25 pounds.
The environment is primarily indoors in a classroom environment.
Required Education
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in graphic design, journalism, or a related field required
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Understanding of website content management systems preferred
Print and online advertising preferred
Professional design experience helpful
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills required
