In our time of growth, we are seeking dedicated and talented individuals to add to our team. We are seeking a Director of Finance for our McShea Contracting team in Lehigh Acres, FL. This is an on-site position, working daily in our Lehigh office.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our McShea Company business. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong financial acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the monthly closing process, financial reporting, analysis & forecasting, annual budget creation, cash management and more.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly financial close process.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance.
- Manages daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reporting cadence, providing valuable insights and analytics to management.
- Lead change initiatives and develop a balanced implementation approach.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the business.
- Advanced Excel, and other tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in private equity principles and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide financial insights to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external service providers to maximize performance, solve business problems, and drive results.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's Degree and/or CPA certification a plus).
- Minimum 7 years of financial reporting experience, with at least 3 years in a manager role.
- Proven experience in budget creation, financial forecasting, and analysis.
- Strong data analytical skills with strong mathematical and systems skills.
- Expertise in Excel required; PowerPoint a plus
- PowerBI, Viewpoint Vista, OneStream, SQL server, or multi-dimensional database experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
