The Department of Anesthesiology at Stark Neuroscience Research Institute/Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for a scientist-track position. The position entails a leadership role in developing and overseeing a comprehensive research program centered on identifying and characterizing molecular and epigenetic mechanisms, as well as cell communication pathways, in neurodegenerative diseases. Specifically, the program will emphasize the epigenetic role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in sepsis and AD/ADRD. Overall, the successful candidate will be tasked with establishing and maintaining a vibrant and sustainable research program that advances understanding of neurodegenerative diseases, with a specific focus on molecular and epigenetic mechanisms and the role of EVs in AD/ADRD and sepsis. This role requires strong leadership, research expertise, grant-writing skills, and a commitment to scientific excellence and innovation. PhD required.
