Axle Informatics is seeking a Business Development Associate to play a key role in gathering market intelligence, attending key industry events, and developing robust relationships with both industry vendors and government clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong ability to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and contribute to our growth and expansion goals. You will play a vital role to our success and have the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of our firm.
Actively collect and analyze market data utilizing Apollo to understand industry trends, identify opportunities, and inform our strategic direction.
Attend industry conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new developments and technological advancements.
Creatively build and maintain relationships with key industry vendors and government clients to understand their needs, position in the market, and how Axle can be of service to them.
Collaborate with C-suite, Marketing, Product Development, and Sales teams by sharing knowledge to tailor strategies for engagement.
Represent the company at industry events, workshops, and conferences to promote the Axle brand, network with potential partners, and gain insights into market needs and competitor strategies.
Negotiate partnerships that align with our long-term business objectives.
Facilitate meetings between stakeholders to explore new business opportunities.
Prepare and present detailed reports on market findings, relationship developments, and new business opportunities to senior management to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of ongoing developments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years in business development, preferably within the federal contracting industry with experience dealing with both industry vendors and government clients.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and the ability to make strategic decisions based on detailed analysis.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining profitable relationships.
Proven ability in negotiating deals and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, including senior government officials and business executives.
Willingness to work nontraditional business hours to accommodate event times.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
