The Quality Inspector is responsible to inspect new and incoming product for critical dimensions, fit, form and function. To determine if a part conforms to drawing specifications and product aesthetics. Inspect and sort incoming production product with serial numbers and maintain numeric order. Ideally, the candidate has an educational background in Quality Control and various manufacturing processes. Ability to work with vendors and suppliers.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities (\*Essential Functions)
- Ability to inspect critical dimensions to drawing specifications, fit, form, and function of new or incoming product
- Complete100% inspection of first article samples with the use of present precision tooling.
- Knowledge and basic use of a CMM to create reports and determine conformance.
- Determine product aesthetics prior to coating and production.
- Ability to use hand tools (Precision tools, Gauging and shop hand tools)
- Sort product by supplier
- Maintain files and certifications
- Work with computer software, SolidWorks, Microsoft word and Excel.
- Assist with any other plant needs that management determines to be necessary.

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or minimum of two years related experience in Quality Control required
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to one on one and small group situation.
- Ability to corresponds to suppliers, clients, customers and other employees throughout the organization with a professional manner.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to calculate basic shop math, geometry and algebra.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Computer Skills
- Must have knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
Other Skills and Abilities
- Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings
- Familiar with the use of gauging, basic use of calipers, micrometers, and other precision hand tools
- Ability to work efficiently independently.
