Please note this is a 12-Hour Night Shift (6 pm - 6 am with rotating weeks of M/TU/SAT/SUN, and W/TH/F)
The role holder reports directly to the Production Supervisor, and performs setup of injecting molding molds including all auxiliary equipment, EOATs, starting the molds, helping with daily processing issues, training into starting new molds, in-mold mold maintenance and documentation. Position is also responsible to ensure machines, molds, auxiliary equipment and associated automation operates efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Start up existing molds, and check/hook up auxiliary/secondary equipment
- Change robot end of arm tooling (EOAT) and enter programming for robots
- Verify that hydraulic lines, water lines, air lines and temperature control units are all connected properly
- Operate forklift and overhead cranes for handling molds
- Ensure that the correct mold and materials are being used
- Perform In-press maintenance and small repairs on the molds
Qualifications:
- Ability to work 12-Hour Night Shift (6 pm - 6 am with rotating weeks of M/TU/SAT/SUN, and W/TH/F)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with mold processing
- EOAT robot programming and setup
- Knowledge of auxiliary equipment - hydraulics, mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems and fluid power
- Basic computer skills within MS Office (Word and Excel) and Outlook
