A Dental Assistant contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly and helpful face to patients. Under the direction of the Dental Director at AHF, the Dental Assistant provides assistance to the Dental staff.
Registered Dental Assistant, (dental radiographs, infection control procedures, cements/recements crowns, etc. pours & trims dental models, etc.) MUST have Dentrix software experience. front office experience (customer service, verifying insurance, troubleshooting patients’ issues, patient flow, etc.)
As a Dental Assistant, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: front office management, greeting patients in a courteous and sensitive manner, scheduling appointments and assisting with the needs of our clients, billing and dental chart maintenance, and conducting patient eligibility and financial screening for services as required by the county.
The Dental Assistant acts as a patient advocate and performs those duties necessary to treat the patient as reflected in the mission of AHF.
The Dental Assistant can enhance the experience of other members of the Dental staff, by lending a helpful hand when needed, and thinking of their role as collaborative, rather than exclusive. In addition, giving feedback to their manager about how service could be improved will allow the team members to enhance their contribution.
The Dental Assistant adds consistent value to the Dental Team by adapting to various situations with ease and by being flexible..
