Accountability Objectives
The Maintenance Technicians are responsible for ensuring the building and machines are kept in working order and make any necessary repairs and preventative maintenance. This position must be filled with a flexible employee who is able to prioritize importance as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Manager.
Willing to train & mentor someone that is dependable, loyal, and willing to learn.
Principal Responsibilities and Authority
- Maintain the maintenance of electrical systems (will train)
- Troubleshoot and repair & replace - gearboxes, belts, bearings, bushings, etc.
- Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems (will train)
- Maintain, research, and develop parts and machines to help efficiency of the plant (will train)
- Build and modify from plans and blueprints (will train)
Relationships
- Reports and is accountable to the Maintenance Team Leader
- Internal contacts: Plant & maintenance manager
Performance Measurements
- Exceptional attendance record
- Ensure dies are repaired in a timely manner (will train)
- Show willingness to be flexible in schedule
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure as little time as possible of machine downtime (will train)
Experience, Education, and Skill Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Trainable & willing to learn.
- Good listener, self-motivated, eager
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs. Must be able to operate in repetitive motions.
- Ability to stand for entire shift – Usually 8 to 10 hours
- Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, stooping, and kneeling
Working Conditions
- Must wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes & ear plugs. Follow ALL safety rules.
- Exposed to some processing oils from material and equipment.
- Exposure to upper noise levels.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $25.79 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
