Comprehensive Pain Consultants, a PartnerCare affiliated company, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant, to join our growing and established practice in Waynesville, NC.
Our practice focuses on taking care of the patient with a comprehensive plan, delivering high customer service, keeping patients safe and well-informed and reducing patients' pain as much as possible.

The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows PartnerCare's service standards. You will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and will engage with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health.
The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient and demonstrate compassion to those experiencing chronic and/or acute pain.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Greeting patients.

Collecting patient information.

Verifying patient insurance.

Maintaining patient accounts and records.
- Responsible for scheduling new patient appointments and follow up appointments.

Prepare exam rooms, equipment and supplies needed prior / during patient examinations.

Prepare patients for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs.

Schedule appointments for patients.

Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, coworkers, and regulatory agencies.

Work directly with Physician and/or Office Manager on all aspects of practice operations and workflow.

Ability to manage a high volume of incoming patients while multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.

Education and Experience:

Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistants/ Aides course

Previous work experience preferred.
