Pinnacle International is one of Canada's leading builders of luxury condominium residences, hotels, and commercial developments. Based in Vancouver, BC, Pinnacle has been involved in development, design, construction and management for over three decades. Pinnacle's portfolio includes landmark locations in Vancouver, Toronto and San Diego.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Superintendent. This is a multi-phase project which will begin with phase 1 a concrete development, 6 Story low-rise with 2 levels of underground parking and a total of 101 residential units.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, schedule and direct all trades onsite
- Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate, and prioritize deliverables and requirements
- Manage work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications
- Determine manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment and requirements are well maintained
- Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
- Advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
- Effectively communicates with all stakeholders and ensures that performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
- Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and ensure compliance with the budget
- Maintain project administration correspondence, and comply with documentation requirements.
- Meet with Owners, Consultants and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
Qualifications:
- You have a construction related degree/diploma and five to seven years of experience in industrial, commercial or multifamily residential new construction, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
- Ability to correctly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions in a team environment
- First Aid certification or working towards is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of and/or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems.
- Understanding of material, labor, and equipment takeoffs
- Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project, including scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating own forces work and trade contractors with three-week look ahead schedules
- Experience in US construction projects is a plus
- Must have valid work permit or authorized to work in the States
