Camelback Ventures (Camelback) increases access to opportunity for entrepreneurs of color and women by investing in their ventures and leadership while advocating for fairness in their funding. Camelback’s flagship program is the Camelback Fellowship. Since 2015, Camelback has raised over $50M and supported 160+ social entrepreneurs – 95% identified as people of color and 55% as women. Our Fellows have raised over $50M, have been named as Forbes 30 under 30, and have made an impact nationwide in communities from Eastern North Carolina to Seattle.
In the upcoming years, Camelback will require the strengthening of its programming - building more cohesion from being a Fellow in our program to an Alumni of our program, building out more opportunities for impact, increasing efficiencies & rigor of programming experiences such that acceleration of either selected venture or founder is evident and measurable.

We would be over the moon to work with someone who will compliment our culture rooted in a belief in our
mission; a desire for constant learning; being unafraid of failure; and is humble in their work, but hungry to earn their keep. The VP of Programs will see themselves in the examples below:
You believe that genius is equally distributed but opportunity is not. You are committed to closing the racial gap for business owners. You understand how this will improve the economic conditions in this country in order to begin to dissolve historical systems of inequity and oppression.
You unequivocally believe in our RFG manifesto and aren’t afraid to confront those who are misaligned! You understand the complexity and intersectionality of race, power, equity, and current systems of oppression. You understand that we must directly, consistently, and innovatively work towards solutions in order to foster thriving communities.
You thrive in the entrepreneurial environment! You don’t just like change, you thrive in it. You are willing to take in all the information but don’t mind operating when there isn’t a whole lot either. You’re comfortable in making decisions and moving forward in this kind of environment.
You believe in the growth mindset. You teach yourself through multiple sources and/or tools. You know that what something is today is not what it has to be tomorrow. You are naturally curious and ask questions.
You step in and step up when needed. You don’t sweat the idea of being a trailblazer. In fact, you enjoy the challenge. You are the one your friends call when they need a reliable partner to do something they’ve never done before.
