Job Summary
AOI is looking for an Optical Chip Test Engineer who will be responsible for the RF performance test (including bandwidth and eye diagram) of the optical chip and devices, build test bench and perform maintenance. This role is also responsible for following up NPI product R&D to mass production, formulate new product testing plans, and be responsible for the preparation of relevant plans and technical documents. This position will report to the AVP of the R&D VCSEL department.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the RF performance test (including bandwidth and eye diagram) of the optical chip and devices, build test bench and perform maintenance.
- Responsible for the chip reliability test and wafer qual test.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the test process of high-speed optical chips and devices, the reliability of test data, and the confirmation of test methods.
- Responsible for the selection and verification of equipment and tools in the test program.
- Follow up NPI product R&D to mass production, formulate new product testing plans, and be responsible for the preparation of relevant plans and technical documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, major in optoelectronic information/electronic engineering/automation/physics or related
- At least 3 years of experience or recent PhD research graduates related in optical chip testing, with experience in high-speed optical devices and optical module testing
- Proficient in the use and mastery of the methods and principles of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, eye diagrams, bit error meters and other optical test instruments, Labview programming experience is preferred
- Proficient in collating and analyzing test data, experience in Python, JMP or Matlab is preferred
- Proficient in the testing process of optical chips and optical devices, and familiar with relevant protocol standards
Location
This position will be full time and on-site at our Sugar Land, Texas location.
