The Home Care scheduler is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of daily/ monthly schedules, coverage for all call outs, maintaining schedule changes, and notifying families of any changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete monthly calendar schedule. Accurately staffs for daily coverage, call outs including weekend coverage.

Updates schedules with any changes (call offs, no shows, etc.) and notifies appropriate family and staff of changes.

Works with the Home Care RN and other staff members efficiently.

Handles all scheduling conflicts/issues and directs to the appropriate person if unable to resolve.

Completes daily claiming for each shift , completes ADL documentation audit

Performs other specific projects relating to scheduling and staffing as required.

Updates for Home Care on scheduling software, charts, filling and other office tasks as needed.

When necessary, will perform as a Certified Nurse Aide duties for emergency coverage. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education:
Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Office Assistant , any Associate degree. Preferred
Experience required:
One (1) year verifiable work experience, preferably with scheduling background. Homecare Scheduling experience a plus.
Professional license or certification requirements:
Certified Nursing Assistant license (NC) preferred.
Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required:
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
Proficient in Microsoft computer products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills.
Prefer proficiency in scheduling software.
