Position Overview: Are you ready to embark on an exhilarating career journey? We are seeking a Specimen Collector/Water Laboratory Analyst to join our ranks. As a pivotal member of our team, you'll dive into the fast-paced world of drug testing and environmental analysis, making a real impact in our community and beyond. This is an entry level position.
Work Schedule: Our Monday-Friday day shift ensures your weekends are free to explore your outside interest.
Responsibilities:
- Perform gender-specific observed collections with adherence to state and federal guidelines, and, Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs.
- Sample collection, gathering specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, oral, hair, and alcohol tests.
- Maintaining meticulous records and ensuring laboratory data meets the highest standards.
- Operation of laboratory equipment, conducting quality control, sample preparation, and testing.
- Inventory management, reporting chemical stocks, and ensuring supplies are always at the ready.
- Provide expert guidance on water-related inquiries and EPA limits, while fostering positive relationships with clients and regulators.
- Administrative, clerical duties, and financial transactions
- Conduct analyses of water samples using standardized laboratory techniques
- Interpret and analyze data, prepare reports, and document findings.
- Ensure compliance with quality control and assurance procedures
- Prepares samples to include water and drug specimens for shipping to the appropriate laboratory
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Qualified candidates will have knowledge of water and wastewater laboratory methods, test procedures and techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
- College level courses in chemistry, environmental microbiology, and/or biology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in excel and use of mathematical formulas
- Knowledge of EPA regulations, ADHS, and Federal guidelines.
- Previous water laboratory experience is preferred
- Drug screen collection experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
