Western Home Communities is seeking to add a Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This individual will be responsible for seasonal grounds maintenance and other maintenance tasks to support Western Home facilities and equipment.
What You'll Do
- Efficiently completes daily grounds maintenance work and general maintenance tasks
- Quickly and accurately identifies ways to complete each assignment
- Responsible for the care and upkeep of equipment and supplies
- Interact with residents in a friendly and positive demeanor
What You'll Need
- Relevant grounds keeping experience
- (nice to have) Experience with minor plumbing repairs, carpentry, painting and HVAC
- 16 years of age or older
- Valid Iowa driver license

Madrid Home is seeking a detail oriented candidate to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and condition of Madrid Home facilities and equipment. Your day-to-day will be spent both in the building, as well as outside assisting with seasonal grounds keeping work.
As a non-profit organization, we are committed to providing services and support to provide dignified and compassionate care to our residents.
Primary Functions:
- Completes maintenance service requests in a timely manner
- Recommends and implements the most efficient solution to address the maintenance issue
- Completes maintenance work on the facility including performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other related tasks
- Assists with grounds work including lawns, landscaping, snow removal, recycling, debris removal and other tasks
Education, Experience and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience preferred
- Good driving record that meets insurance company requirements
- CPR certified or willing to achieve
Scheduling:
- Regular attendance and punctuality is required
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be willing and able to work on-call hours
