Automotive Installation Technician
10-75 Emergency Vehicles is a manufacturer of purpose-built vehicles for law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, public works, and contractors. Our goal is to provide our customers with custom-tailored vehicles to help them complete their mission. We are a casual company that works hard to make sure our customers get the service they need. We are seeking an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of automotive installation related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Job Responsibilities
· Installation of warning lights, sirens, mobile radios, computers, equipment consoles, custom wiring harness, other electronic equipment.
· Drill holes, mount brackets, perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment
· Remove and re-install OEM vehicle interior trim
· Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with wiring and equipment
· Continuous learning of new products, skills and techniques
· Assist with parts, shipping, receiving and inventory as needed
· Complete all required paperwork and documentation
· Maintain safe, clean and orderly work area and tools
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
The hours of operation are 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm for the Evening Shift. Our working atmosphere is family-oriented and casual. We offer paid time off, health care, vision, dental, 401K and product discounts.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Experience/knowledge of 12 Volt electrical systems
· Experience with installation of emergency lighting desired, but not required
· Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) is desired, but not required
· Self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to read, write and visually distinguish colors
· Able to identify electrical circuits
· Able to work on and see small objects
· Basic computer experience
· Ability to bend, twist, squat, crouch, kneel, reach and work in confined spaces
· Frequent lifting, moving and carrying objects up to 50lbs
· Able to communicate well with others
· Be prompt and prepared to work
