Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems and kitchen appliances in commercial/industrial settings
- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration equipment/commercial kitchen appliances to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems/commercial kitchen appliances and make necessary repairs
- Test and inspect refrigeration systems for leaks, malfunctions, or other problems
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards when working with refrigerants
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair logs
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently -Communicate with clients to provide a positive solution to the problem at hand
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certification or EPA license in HVAC/R or refrigeration technology preferred
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Proficient in using tools and equipment for installation, repair, and maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
Skills:
- Plumbing skills for connecting refrigeration systems and appliances to water supply lines
-Ability to maintain and repair various types of refrigeration equipment, such as walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and various commercial appliances
- Brazing skills for joining copper components of refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of design principles for efficient refrigeration system layout and installation
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics to understand system configurations
- Appliance repair skills for troubleshooting issues with specific refrigeration/appliances
- Equipment repair skills for fixing mechanical components
- Field service experience for providing on-site repairs and maintenance services to clients
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand the inner workings of commercial grade appliances and refrigeration systems.
-Strong electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills preferred - The ability to think on your feet, learn new systems, and utilize the resources around you is an essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
