POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Home Care Nurse to help oversee the exceptional care we provide to our clients. In this role you will assess the appropriate care for new clients, visit existing clients to ensure satisfaction, mentor and provide guidance to our Home Health Aides, provide training and orientation to new aides and assist with promoting our health care company, all while having a flexible schedule. Currently, the work week would be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Saturday and Sunday. This schedule may be negotiable, and hours worked may vary.
Responsibilities for a Home Care Nurse:
- Along with our Director of Nursing (“DON”), plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor the delivery of all direct and indirect services to home care clients to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate home care services.
- Visit our new clients to assess appropriate care routine and build a relationship,
- Develop and ensure proper execution of the client care plan while coordinating communications between clients, Aides, the DON, and management..
- Supervise, mentor, train, and support Home Health Aides
- Facilitate new hire orientation for Home Health Aides
- Communicate with client’s family, and client’s physicians
- Assists with marketing, public relations
- Availability at all times during regular business hours and as needed to provide support and assure quality care to clients
REPORTS TO Director of Nursing
Qualifications for a Home Care Nurse:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 or more years of experience as an RN preferred, or LPN with 5 or more years’ experience.
- Desire to build strong interpersonal relationships with Aides and clients.
- Experience working with geriatric patients.
- Private pay home care, hospice, or VNA experience preferred, but not required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to continually improve and grow the company by ensuring quality care for existing clients, retaining well-performing Aides, and building relationships with potential future clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
