ServIT is an MSP based out of Kennesaw, GA. Our Tier 2 Technicians resolve complex issues requiring detailed systems and application knowledge that have been escalated from Tier I Help Desk.
Successful candidate will work from our Kennesaw office to support our nationwide customer base. The Engineer has hands-on responsibilities, providing top tier support and knowledge sharing in all technological aspects located in house and at customer sites. This is a technology position with direct responsibility for the engineering, up-time and integrity of customer environments, specializing in Intel virtualization, desktop/server systems and LAN/WAN appliances.
Responsibilities also include server support, Client ticket remediation, adherence to company and departmental process and procedures. Must communicate proactively with team, management, project management and clients to ensure issues and solutions are documented, clarified, effectively addressed, and resolved with appropriate urgency. Ensures client satisfaction; maintains accountability throughout resolution, including issue delegation or hand off.
Applicant must have a minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with the following:
Key Skills Required:
- High level of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 operating systems including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, RRAS and RDP roles and services.
- High level of experience with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems including Windows 10, 8.x, 7 and XP to include applying Windows Updates.
- Understanding of IT security concepts with a strong understanding of NTFS file security and Share permissions.
- Experience with various business productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Office365, Open Office.
- Experience and understanding of collaboration suites such as Microsoft Exchange, Office365 and 3rd Party Hosted Exchange providers such as Intermedia and RackSpace.
- Network Management Experience with routers, switches, firewalls and wireless technologies to include a very strong understanding of Virtual Private Network (VPN) protocols.
- Experience with Network vendors, Cisco, SonicWall, Watchguard and Meraki and Internet Carrier technologies including DSL and PRI.
- Experience with one or more hardware vendors such as HP, Dell, IBM and Lenovo in component level repair of servers, workstations, printers and business peripherals.
Exceptional customer service orientation, Experience working in an MSP environment is a plus
Local travel assignments to support multiple customer locations required.
