Next Day Access is seeking a team member at our Oak Brook location familiar with the Accessibility and Mobility industry regarding evaluation, installation and service of Modular Aluminum Handicap Ramps, Porch Lifts, Stair Lifts, Bath Safety, Grab Bars, Vehicle Lifts and other accessibility and mobility equipment.
Job Description:
Employee will travel the territory throughout the week, performing evaluations, installations and servicing company products at customer's homes and businesses according to scheduled work orders and manufacturer specifications. In addition, employee will complete required production forms for daily work assignments and transmit electronically to the branch office. They will also be responsible for maintaining the warehouse, tools and inventory levels.
All employees are required to follow vehicle maintenance and safety guidelines and communicate activities daily with branch office. All employees may be required to perform additional duties as needed or assigned by the branch management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations at customer's home or businesses and recommend proper equipment
- Sketch job plan layouts, listing equipment and required job site labor
- Install recommended company products to residential or business structures according to work order specifications, safety procedures, instructions and code compliance
- Exhibit a sense of urgency to respond quickly to customer request
- Monitor and execute daily schedule to meet or exceed appointment times
- Provide customers with accurate product information and documentation
- Promote products and services that the company offers
- Demonstrate high standard of customer service, addressing all customer concerns promptly
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and service issues
- Display excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers, co-workers and vendors
- Ensure that vehicle, tools and equipment are properly cleaned and consistently maintained
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting problems as needed
- Safe keeping and care of all customer data and company issued equipment including tools, toolboxes, electronic devices, credit cards, etc.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain a safe driving record adhering to laws and posted speed limits
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety
- Provide inventory report on stock levels weekly to office staff and management
- Perform other duties as needed to maintain branch location or assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 1 year or more experience in home services, basic construction, electrical and technical knowledge
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Power tool proficiency and ability to maintain equipment
- Ability to use technology: tablet, smart phones, internet, GPS technology
- Experience with drawing up simple plan layouts, job site requirements and estimating cost
- Demonstrate experience troubleshooting and resolving service and or installation concerns
- Demonstrate basic math skills using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must have physical strength and stamina and dexterity to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
- Should be able bend and stand though out a work day in varying weather conditions and on varying terrain
- Must have the ability to climb steps or ladders and at times work in tight spaces
- Ability to show experience working with customers in a field environment and promoting products or services
- Ability to pass detail background check and drug test
- Have a clean driving record and pass vehicle insurance driving check
- Knowledge of ADA guidelines and code compliance procedures a plus
