Role Overview: As the Senior Warehouse Manager at our LAX location, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant handling of goods. Operating in a freight forwarding environment, you will manage our two warehouses with Container Freight Station (CFS) functions for both air and ocean freight. You will lead a team to optimize warehouse procedures, manage third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, and ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety standards. A significant part of your role will be dedicated to building and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, and overseeing the integration of our Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). You will also maintain extensive communication with our gateway team, customer service, Key Account Management (KAM), and the regional dispatch team to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Warehouse Operations: Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment for air and ocean freight, ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently and safely.
- Oversee airport transfer operation: Manage daily airport transfer (pick up & delivery) as for air import & export, ensure the on-time performance and safety of the operation. Seeking continuous transfer cost efficiency.
- Enhance Operational Efficiency: Implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
- Build and Develop the Team: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled warehouse team. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and personal growth.
- Manage KPIs: Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, identifying areas for improvement to meet organizational goals.
- 3PL Management: Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, ensuring compliance with service agreements and regulatory requirements, and conducting regular audits to maintain service quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse, adopting best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all warehouse operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations as for compliance and safety, maintaining compliance with Container Freight Station (CFS) and FTZ (Free trade zone) requirements and standards.
- CCSF Integration: Oversee the integration of our Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Internal Communication: Foster and maintain extensive communication with various teams, including gateway, customer service, Key Account Management (KAM), and regional dispatch. Ensure seamless coordination, effective operational execution, and prompt resolution of any issues. Collaborate closely to align warehouse operations with overall logistics strategies and customer requirements, facilitating smooth workflows and enhancing service delivery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, customer service, and procurement, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across departments.
- Cost Management: Develop and manage the warehouse budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of warehouse supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- Extensive Warehouse Management Experience: Proven experience in managing warehouse operations and third-party logistics (3PL) services, with a strong track record of improving operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of warehouse compliance and safety standards mandated by governmental authorities and industry regulations.
- Freight Forwarding Experience: Experience in a freight forwarding environment, specifically with air and ocean freight, and familiarity with Container Freight Station (CFS) operations.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high performance and compliance standards.
- Team Development: Demonstrated ability to build and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
