Job Summary:
Overview: The Director of Nursing Operations will serves as a key leader in our company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing operations to ensure optimal patient care delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and clinical expertise to drive performance and maintain high standards of nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for nursing services in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day nursing operations, ensuring efficient workflows, adequate staffing levels, and optimal resource utilization.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance nursing practice, patient safety, and quality of care.
- Budgetary Oversight:
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize financial performance while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve budgetary goals without compromising patient care outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure nursing practices comply with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and healthcare policies.
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, monitoring clinical outcomes, and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality.
- Staff Development and Engagement:
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development through education, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of patient-centered care.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care delivery and optimize clinical outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and senior management, advocating for nursing perspectives and contributing to organizational decision-making.
- Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and protocols to ensure readiness for potential crises or disasters affecting patient care operations.
- Lead response efforts during emergencies, coordinating nursing staff and resources to maintain continuity of care and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: NYS RN License Required; Healthcare Management/Clinical Leadership preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Certification in Nursing Administration (CNML or NE-BC) preferred.
- Experience: Extensive experience in nursing leadership and management roles, with a proven track record of success in healthcare operations, budget management, and quality improvement.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to analyze data, make strategic decisions, and drive organizational change.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and healthcare industry trends.
Working Conditions:
- Typically works regular office hours, but may require additional hours to manage emergencies or special projects.
- Works in healthcare environments, interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
