General Description:
*Provides supervision and training for a team of 4.
· Directs all Shipping Dept. personnel and activities.
· Performs product quality and quantity checks.
· Manages flow of product.
· Maintains UPS and FedEx manifest and monitors finished goods inventory.
· Boxes, wraps, labels and ships product.
· Directs transportation activities and equipment needs for the Shipping Dept.
· Reviews daily ship list with Director of Manufacturing (or backup).
· Maintains inventory of supping supplies (carton and skid purchasing, box tape and FedEx and UPS software updates).
Work Experience Requirements:
· Working knowledge of material handling techniques that prevent damage and deterioration.
Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalency
· 3+ years in shipping, 1+ years as a supervisor, lead or trainer desired
· Forklift experience (standup helpful, but we will train). Loading and unloading trucks
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Able to work with minimal supervision.
· Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational skills.
· Understanding of relevant ISO/TS16949, ISO14001, and AIB policies, procedures and work instructions.
· General computer skills.
· Ability to work and communicate well with others.
Physical Requirements:
● Employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop & lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
