Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communication, design, videography, photography, and/or public relations is required. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing or communications fields with demonstrated success is required. College or independent school experience a plus. Must maintain outstanding leadership skills with the ability to analyze and evaluate their own performance as well as the performance of others. Knowledge and use of industry-standard (Adobe) graphics and Apple computer technology, social media, and excellent writing skills required. Must possess the personal skills necessary to work effectively with all levels of constituencies. Ability to conceive and communicate creative ideas and strategies. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a sophisticated media promotions strategy. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Strong organizational skills that will effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. Demonstrated expertise in design, photography, videography, and production with internet, news and advertising media. Demonstrated and successful marketing management experience. Must be energetic, organized forward-thinking, and creative.

Job Description:
The Visual Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the execution and management of the school’s integrated marketing and communication plan with a strong concentration on video and photography media and emulating the vision, mission, core values, and strategic goals of Mount Paran Christian School. The program focuses on competitive positioning of the school in the marketplace through coordinated brand management, increased visibility and awareness, internal communications support, and enhancements in image and reputation.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is a member of Mount Paran Christian School’s Advancement Team.

Physical Requirements:
Lifting equipment, boxes, and other packages not exceeding 50 lbs. (males) and 25 lbs. (females); boxes heavier than 50 pounds should be lifted while wearing a back brace; excellent cognitive and hearing abilities; significant computer work.
Technical Requirements:
o Proficient in Video editing software (Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere)
o Proficient in Photography and photo shoot art direction (Camera and lighting technology)
o Knowledge of exposure, frame rate, composure, shutter speed, camera set-up,
o Proficient in Photo Editing Software (Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop)
o Knowledge of basic audio recording, storyboarding, preparing projects for editing, post production, acquiring and documenting music rights, adding graphics, and animations to videos.
o Proven multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

o Focuses on photo and video initiatives for the marketing, admission, and development teams to promote all advancement initiatives and campaigns
o Possesses comprehensive knowledge of developing and executing visual marketing campaigns, including experience with web-based initiatives and social media
o Photography and videography skills, sound, podcast, and production.
o Storyboard, create, film, edit, and implement internal and external video and photo communications, as well as vlog/podcast content ensuring clarity and consistency in branding and positioning, with a clear identity that reflects the school’s mission, vision, values, and philosophy
o Ensure new video content in all areas is updated on the web and Vimeo/YouTube
o Maintains all video and podcast content and keeps pages up-to-date and robust
o Maintain common and consistent editorial and graphic standards across visual publications for branding integrity
o Collaborate with development on electronic fundraising brochures, videos, solicitations, alumni events and videos
o Responsible for school promotion of key differentiators through the use of photography, storytelling, and leveraging visual media on social media outlets
o Oversee interior photography, design, and digital signage to ensure integrity and advancement of the MPCS brand
o Manage videography and develop strategy, plan, and execution for video integration on website and online sources
o Execute photography and manage contract photographers to document all school events
o Manages the use of external resources, rentals, photo/video equipment.
o Manages the visual archives for the department
o To support the school, mission, and leadership and be active in the life and culture of the school community
