Job Description
The Quality Engineer aims to ensure that products and services are fit for purpose, consistent, and meet both external and internal requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Review, revise, develop, implement, and maintain company procedures and instructions that meet the intent of industry standards and business objectives.
· Evaluate procedures, policies, strategies, and systems and ensure their continuing suitability and effectiveness to achieve planned results.
· Own key processes such as calibration, control of nonconforming products, supplier quality, and product handling.
· Maintain process monitors.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to define and implement qualification, inspection, and test criteria to satisfy contract, engineering drawing, and specification requirements.
· Interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications.
· Perform defined inspection and test methods with minimal oversight.
· Calibrate monitoring and measuring devices to a known standard.
Act as a champion for change and continual improvement.
· Write a problem statement or defect condition that is traceable to objective evidence and requirements.
· Use root cause corrective action and problem-solving tools to prevent recurrence of nonconformities and occurrence of potential nonconformities.
· Assist with follow-up to implementation regarding defined corrective action plans.
· Manage appropriate data and publish accordingly for company-wide quality performance levels.
· Prepare and deliver reports or proposals based on investigation, evaluation, and analysis.
Qualifications:
· 2 to 4 years’ experience in quality in a manufacturing environment
· lASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification desirable
· B.S. degree in an engineering or mathematics discipline or experience in inspection, test, or reliability related fields
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Work as part of a team or independent with direction related to what and how tasks and assignments are accomplished.
· Previous experience with eQMS systems
· Excellent time management skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
