**************************** DUTIES *************************************
- You will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- You will determine the status of components and alarms to detect abnormalities in configuration or operational condition.
- You will troubleshoot, repair, replace, install, calibrate, and field test the DDC system components or following cursory inspection, diagnostics, and corrective actions.
- You will monitor, program, rend data, modify, schedule, reset, and analyze problems in operating air quality sensors, economizer controls, pneumatic interface transmitters, airflow monitoring stations, and other controllers.
- You will operate computer terminals, interface devices, hand held microprocessors, local area network, front-end software, and control devices.
************************** QUALIFICATIONS ***************************
Knowledge and skills required to configure and tune boiler and equipment control loops and to modify, calibrate, repair, overhaul, test, and install all types of control systems, electronic equipment and related devices on watertube and firetube boilers.
Perform calibration and repair on Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS). Develop CEMS reports on a monthly basis. Assist in performing Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA) at required frequency.
Experience operating a pipe and conduit bender and use of electrical/electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, capacitance analyzers, signal generators, frequency meters, RF (radio frequency) meters, power analyzers, chart recorders, ohmmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, potentiometer, and whetstone bridges.
Experience conducting regular inspections of flow meter recording, integrated flows, pressures, temperatures, levels, and analyzer readings (gas and water).
Experience with tuning control loops (proportional, integral, and derivative) for automatic operation. Must have knowledge of electronic and pneumatic control systems and procedure for shifting to and from manual and automatic control. Must be capable of looking at readings displayed on control systems and local instrumentation, evaluate equipment/system performance, and determine proper response.
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision
Knowledge of boiler plant and machinery safety and associated hazards of working in boiler plants.
Must have valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
Required to report in emergencies and inclement weather.
Must be able to work overtime as required. The work hours are subject to change should it be necessary. Such changes could include working weekends as part of a regular workweek.
