Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, day care center, or other child development facility. Must have State certification.
The GA Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for general classroom management and supervision. This includes planning and implementing activities for children that stress physical, social, and emotional growth. He/She is responsible for the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children and will help maintain classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness.
The ideal candidate for this position must have one of the following valid and current certificates or credentials from a nationally or state recognized institution approved by Bright from the Start:
Georgia Teacher certificate issued by the Professional Standards Commission (PSC) in Early Childhood Education, Birth through Five Endorsement, Special Education General Curriculum Consultative/ECE OR out-of-state, valid, and current official teaching certificates in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
The candidate must also be able to comply with the physical requirements of the job, and have a passion for working with children of all ages.

The Lead Georgia Pre-K Teacher is responsible for implementing the standards and requirements stated in the Georgia Pre-K Operating Guidelines.
- Must have prior experience teaching the Georgia Pre-K Program
- Comfortable with creating Pre-K appropriate Lesson Plans
- Must keep classroom clean and organized
- Must comply with The Center and Bright From The Start Rules and Regulations
- Certified to teach Pre-K in Georgia (Required)
