The City of Beloit has an exciting professional opportunity available as the Wastewater Operations and Maintenance Supervisor in the Water Resources Division of the Public Works Department.
This is a managerial position directly responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities at the Water Pollution Control Facilities (WPCF) and pump stations to assure WI DNR/EPA permit compliance. The individual is also directly responsible for the Biosolids recycling program to assure state and federal compliance.
Qualifications
1. Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
2. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B endorsement preferred.
3. Certification as a Wisconsin Wastewater Advanced Operator, in all relevant subclasses, from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) required.
4. Two-year Associates degree from an accredited college in wastewater treatment, biology, chemistry, engineering and/or environmental sciences.
5. Four (4) years of wastewater treatment and three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
6. Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered.
