Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Cultivation Director to lead and manage our cultivation operations in Michigan. This role is critical to our growth and success, requiring a visionary leader with extensive experience in both outdoor and indoor cannabis cultivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of cannabis cultivation, including planning, execution, and optimization of both outdoor and indoor grow operations.
- Develop and implement cultivation strategies that maximize yield, quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis cultivation.
- Lead and mentor a team of cultivation managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, quality control, and sales, to ensure product consistency and meet market demand.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for cultivation operations.
- Implement and oversee integrated pest management (IPM) and other best practices to maintain plant health and safety.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in large-scale cannabis cultivation, with a proven track record of success in both outdoor and indoor environments.
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis plant physiology, nutrient management, and pest control.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with state and local regulations related to cannabis cultivation.
- Proficiency in cultivation software and technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
