Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will work within an educational setting to support students' academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavioral health.
Duties:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective interventions and support plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies for improvement
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience working with pediatrics in an educational or clinical setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to child development and mental health
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and special education needs
- Ability to conduct psychotherapy sessions and perform patient assessments
- Strong background in mental health counseling, child-family counseling, and behavioral health interventions
- Familiarity with maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with regulations
