Wiggins Incorporated is a nationwide electrical and network cabling contractor that is actively seeking to hire an experienced Electrical Project Manager to manage Commercial projects for our corporate office located in Montgomery, Alabama.
**This position is an in-office position; remote work is not available.**
As a Project Manager with Wiggins Incorporated, you will be able to use your knowledge and skills in the construction industry to assist the division manager in meeting yearly revenue goals. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems (specifically for commercial projects), project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform site walk-throughs for estimates as needed by the division manager
- Use specifications and drawings to assess job needs, measure and quantify all components of system(s) to be estimated
- Willing to work overtime if needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, and subcontractors
- Responsible for mentoring and managing team members and developing client relationships as the main contact person
- Responsible for delivering profitable projects in accordance with financial standards
- Responsible for participation in the development of project schedules and regular updates with the project superintendents(s)
- Responsible for client management throughout procurement, construction, and post-construction processes
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders
- Inspect the work of all superintendents, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure the quality and safety standards are being met
- Responsible for writing contracts/purchase orders and reviewing and interpreting the contract documents and verifying they do not deviate from the architectural drawings and bid documents
- Responsible for submittals by sending requests to subs/vendors, tracking progress, reviewing submittals, submitting to architect, and returning to subcontractor/vendor
- Review, complete, and submit monthly pay applications to accounting
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical project management and estimating
- Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (phone, email, etc.)
- Team player
- Willing to travel to visit job sites
- High school diploma or equivalent at a minimum
- Strong commercial electrical skills
- Knowledge of current NEC, NETA, NFPA, 70E, and other technical and safety codes and requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to use Accubid software (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
