**Job Overview:*
*PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed estimates for a single trade with quantity take-offs
- Review all documents in the bid package
- Define and quantify a comprehensive scope of work for each estimate
- Obtain material pricing by communicating with external vendors
- Communicate any requests for clarification to clients and maintain an updated record of changes to conceptual construction documents
- Prepare and submit proposal packages, follow up on the status of submitted proposals
- Assist project managers in the calculation of change orders to awarded projects
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Experience with software applications for take offs and estimating preferred
- Experience in the commercial flooring and/or general construction industry
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortability and capability with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines
- FloorRight, CAD, Workspace, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace all major pluses

- Have computer skills and use of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Flooring knowledge/Construction experience a major plus
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates. This role requires a strong background in construction estimating and project management.
**Responsibilities:**
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Negotiate and build relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam for accurate estimations
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Visit construction sites to gather information for estimates
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
- Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar estimating software
- Strong understanding of construction management principles
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
