BeaconPoint, a growing woman-owned and operated small business startup, is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Technology Financial Analysts to join our team. We provide strategic advisory and support services to organizations seeking to:

Responsibilities:
- Support the collection, organization, and analysis of financial data related to client technology spending.
- Collaborate on the development and maintenance of technology financial models and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and investigate significant deviations from budget expectations and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations summarizing technology spending, resource allocation, and cost optimization opportunities for key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technology and finance teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Actively pursue professional development opportunities such as certifications, participation in communities of practice, and working groups to stay up-to-date with technology financial management best practices and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work during Eastern Standard Time (New York) business hours.
- Home office enabled with high speed, reliable internet and conducive to supporting participation in virtual meetings and phone calls.
Desired, but not required qualifications:
- Familiarity with FinOps
- Familiarity with Technology Business Management
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or OCI
- Experience using data visualization software (ex. Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience working with the public sector
- Experience providing consulting services
