Due to our expansion, Meadowlands Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our skilled team in Hackensack, NJ, serving the Northern New Jersey communities.

We are looking for an individual that is able to actively collaborate with our medical team but has the confidence to work independently as needed. The role is responsible for working collaboratively with our clinical staff and doctor as well as independently – it is a wonderful opportunity to use and expand your clinical skills and bodies of knowledge, in a face paced, established and modern practice that strives to provide top tier veterinary care to our patients.

As a member of the clinical team, in addition to traditional vet tech duties, you will be actively involved in:
- Client education and communication
- Detailed electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Diagnostics
- Reviewing medical records and lab work
- Calculating doses for both oral and injectable medications
What we need:
- 2 years of veterinary technician experience
- Previous surgical experience
- CVT/LVT/RVT preferred
- Exceptional communication skills (including spelling and grammar) – strong and respectful written and verbal communication skills for both clients and staff
- Adaptable – remain flexible while maintaining a positive attitude
- Highly organized with acute attention to detail
- Good time management and efficiency with ability to prioritize
- Reliable – good judgment with ability to work and learn independently, responsibly, and ethically
- Resourceful problem-solving skills with active recall
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Dedicated to providing excellent service for every client and patient
- Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
