Job Summary:
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking an experienced Technical Information Management & Control Specialist to join our team for of a contract we expect to acquire in support of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) as it establishes a detachment in Guam (NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users in a fast-paced environment, supporting critical naval database management, and managing information control with the team's Engineering and Planning Department. This role is crucial for managing and updating our technical information systems to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and repair of U.S. Navy vessels.
Responsibilities:
*Technical Information Management:
- Acquire, catalog, index, and update technical instructions, manuals, and drawings.
- Perform updates in the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) and other Technical Data Management Information System databases, including handling NOFORN and classified drawings for non-nuclear and nuclear interface systems.
*Information Control Support:
- Manage and update information within specialized electronic databases to support the Engineering and Planning Department's online library website.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secret Security Clearance
- 7+ years of relevant experience in technical information management and control, particularly supporting critical U.S. Navy ship systems. Direct experience working with Technical Data Management Information System databases is desired.
- Recent experience in project planning/management/testing, estimating, and specification writing for naval ship systems including mechanical, structural, electrical, and Combat systems with compliance to SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, FBW SCS, and/or Level 1 requirements.
- Proficient in managing and updating technical documentation and electronic databases.

- Ability to handle classified and sensitive information responsibly
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and computer networking
- Proficiency in database management and IT systems relevant to technical documentation
