Network Development Specialist - Business Development

Position Summary
This position is responsible for primarily new physician recruitments with an emphasis on primary care, including network development activities within a specific territory. This requires regular consultative contact with every new contracted physician office in a designated territory to build rapport, generate new patient membership, retain existing patient membership, and service existing contracted physician offices and a heavy emphasis on identifying new physician leads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, increase and retain patient membership (with quarterly incremental growth), physician network, promote company brand, and service physician offices in a specific assigned territory as defined by Executive team, this requires face to face consultative contact with every physician office; weekly meeting goals are required.
- Plan, organize, and implement effective strategies using all company programs, tools and initiatives to increase market share in designated territory.
- Must document all activity on a web-based CRM system at all times. Diligently profile leads, obtain market intelligence from competitors, and gather other pertinent information. Additional reporting formats may be requested based on fit for development and planning purposes.
- NDS are required to work in conjunction with the Physician Liaison (PL) designated to the territory; NDS acts as territory lead and PL is to provide support to NDS and collective efforts to increase market share and maintain existing membership, which includes maintaining professional and consistent communication with staff and management, and accountability for adherence to company and divisional organization policies and procedures.
- Participate in special projects or events, seminars or trainings, and performs other duties as required.

Physical Activities:
This position will be working in a combination of field work and office environment, and utilize typical office equipment. Also works in all areas of designated territory traveling from office to office up to 80% of the time.
Qualifications
Experience:
At least 2 years of prior sales-related or medical experience required; managed care is a plus.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Desired skills include: sales and/or medical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and project management skills, team player, and self-motivated.
Other:
Valid driver's license required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
